Deborah Halter, a former diocesan newspaper editor, is a frequent writer and speaker on Catholicism. She is a lecturer in World Religions and Catholicism at Loyola University, New Orleans, and the author of The Papal "No" - A Comprehensive Guide to the Vatican's Rejection of Women's Ordination (Crossroad, 2004).
